Advantages: Excellent flexibility at low temperatures
Excellent High Voltage Corona Resistance
Good Radiation Resistance (up to 1 x 10^8 Rd)
Good cold flow resistance
Can be used at high temperatures (200o C) also
Disadvantages: Poor cut-through resistance
Poor mechanical toughness
Poor fluid resistance
Needs processing for out-gassing control
Flammable
Other Information: Often combined with other insulators (e.g., glass fibers)
