MIL-W-22759/4
Insulating Material: PTFE and FEP and Glass
Insulation Thickness: 25 mil ( 0.6 mm) to 44 mil ( 1.1mm)

Wire Properties
Voltage Rating: 600
Temperature Rating: 200 C
Conductor Type: Silver plated Copper
Construction Details: The first layer is PTFE either as a wrapped tape or PTFE coated glass tape. The second layer is PTFE coated glass braid and finisher. The jacket FEP is either extruded or on larger wire sizes a tape; the FEP has to be fused.
Additional Information: The FEP jacket thickness ranges from 9 mils (0.2 mm) to 14 mils (0.4 mm) depending on wire gauge (AWS 22 to AWS 00). The overall thickness is 74 mils (1.9 mm) to 585 mils (14.9 mm) for the various wire gauges.
This specification is currently being handled by the SAE under the specification SAE-AS22759/4.
